It’s all in the name: within the Fintec Vario system technology, the VarioFold model series offers the highest level of flexibility and the option for fully automatic garment folding.

Different types of garments—lab coats, jackets, operating theatre gowns, trousers, overalls, nightgowns, and more—are folded and prepared for transport using the VarioFold F 85 M (manual feed) and VarioFold F 85 A (automatic feed via hangers). Thanks to state-of-the-art PLC technology with nanosecond-level cycle times, these garment folders achieve remarkable folding accuracy.

Increase Throughput
By separating individual folding operations, the VarioFold series reaches hourly throughput rates of up to 900 items (depending on garment type) with consistently high folding quality. A stacker with a standard pressing unit ensures precise de-stacking of the neatly folded garments.

Select Operating Mode
The VarioFold F 85 stands out for its flexibility, allowing operators to choose between manual and automatic feed modes. The manual hanger feed mode can be easily upgraded to automatic feed at any time, providing even greater adaptability to meet operational demands.

Increase Productivity
Seamless integration with Vario system technology enables a smooth transition from the VarioFold F 85 to the VarioTrans system. The combination of garment folding and automated transport ensures efficient processes and optimal utilisation of production capacity.

Key Features
The VarioFold F 85 series is equipped with an electro-pneumatic PLC controller with a dialogue display for intuitive operation. An item counter for trousers and lab coats, along with an elapsed time indicator, provides valuable tracking information. Transport system drives are powered by frequency-controlled motors for precise operation.

Vacuum assistance holds items securely on the folding surface during processing. Folding operations include separate stations for lengthwise and cross-folding, with automatic length measurement and lengthwise folds performed using folding flaps and pre-set folding patterns. The first or second cross-fold can be configured as a reverse fold for added versatility.

Automatic item recognition distinguishes between lab coats and trousers, with a dedicated trousers programme for waistband-up or waistband-down configurations. Completed stacks are removed automatically based on either quantity or height, ensuring seamless workflow and reduced manual handling.
